WestCOP Substance Abuse Services Staff aim to assist client’s further development of coping mechanisms and improved overall functioning in order to effectively deal with life’s problems and insure maintained abstinence. All treatment goals and supporting activities, are developed in collaboration with the client, recorded on a written plan by their primary counselor and reviewed by the medical director and multi-disciplinary team. Treatment staff understand that individuals’ encounter difficulties with their significant others, families, peers, school, job, their communities and society-at-large. Therefore family members and significant other participation In treatment is encouraged and case management services provided to assist clients in resolving these difficulties so that their lives may be enriched.
Studies have shown that Substance Abuse not only affects individuals under the influence of alcohol and drugs but families, youth, and children of substance abusers.
The Benefit of these services is to prevent the impact of substance abuse on family, youths, COSA,(Children) to also prevent substance abuse from moving from one generation to another. To work closely with referral agencies to prevent child abuse/ neglect, and the increase of substance abuse in the community.

The A.M.P. program is designed to reduce the progressive nature of substance among adolescence in Westchester County. Adolescence will receive group and individual counseling. We are committed to the fight of helping young people make positive changes for healthy living and improved quality of life
