October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
* Let us unite and work together to end this violence! *
National Domestic Violence Awareness Month first began in 1981 by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence as a Day of Unity to connect battered women’s advocates across the country.Domestic Violence/ Intimate Partner Violence affects millions of people across every race, religion, culture and status; it does not discriminate. Help us remind the nation that there are countless number of people impacted by this crime.
Don’t stay silent. It’s time to speak up all month long.
