BILINGUAL TRAUMA THERAPIST

Bilingual Trauma Therapist will primarily be responsible for providing trauma focused clinical services, including individual, family and group psychotherapy, to primary and secondary victims of crime. The Bilingual Trauma Therapist will also provide information, referrals, assistance with victim compensation applications as well as support and advocacy to crime victims. This therapist will function as a member of both the clinical team and the larger VAS staff, sharing in the mission of not only providing specialized services but also working towards systemic change.

Requirements:

Masters level degree in clinical field. Applicants must be licensed (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) and/or working toward their licensure (MHC-LP). Limited permit Mental Health Counselors will be considered. Candidate should be a self- starter with strong clinical skills and trauma informed.

Backgrounds in women’s issues, domestic violence, sexual assault, and social justice are valued. Knowledge of the criminal justice system, an understanding of victimology, and experience working with trauma a plus. A valid driver’s license and the use of an automobile are required.

Fluency in both Spanish and English is preferred. People of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community are encouraged to apply.
