OPEN POSITIONS
DEVELOPMENTAL SPECIALIST – FULL TIME
- Perform special needs consultation in centers
- Greet and interact with center children, families, and staff in a warm and respectful manner
- Organize screenings within 45 days of children’s entrance into the program and enter scores in the Child Plus database
- Coordinate with center staff to identify children with special needs
- Be available for consultation and referral for special services according to Early Intervention and CPSE procedures
- Train teachers and parents on typical and atypical child development
- Meet with parents to discuss screening results and special needs, and provide appropriate activities for home.
- Make referrals to outside agencies.
- Function as liaison between agencies, programs, and Head Start centers
- Prepare summaries on children in their caseload who require individual or small group support
- Maintain confidentiality of students, parents, program, and all materials handled in the performance of duties and responsibilities
- Enter and maintain Disability and IEP information in Child Plus
- Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards for children with special needs
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field. Ability to travel to multiple sites. Must have own transportation

INFANT/TODDLER TEACHER – FULL TIME
- Create and maintain a developmentally appropriate environment
- Greet and interact with center children, families, and staff in a warm and respectful manner
- Plan and execute activities following the Infant & Toddler Creative Curriculum and Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF)
- Maintain children’s education files. Monitor and document children’s development using TSG Gold, ITERS, and ASQs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Infant/Toddler CDA required or AA (18 credits) equivalent credit in infant and toddler early childhood education coursework.

SUBSTITUTE INFANT/TODDLER TEACHER
- Help maintain a developmentally appropriate environment
- Support classroom staff in implementing curricular activities
- Greet and interact with center children, families, and staff in a warm and respectful manner
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times
- Ensure the safety of all children and always supervise children by sight and sound at all times
- Know appropriate emergency evacuation procedures
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements: Must be willing to obtain a CDA within 18 months of hire or AA equivalent in early childhood education. Ability to travel to multiple sites. Must have own transportation. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
